Is Mohamed Salah a one season wonder?

The Egyptian took Europe by storm last season after his move to Liverpool.

2017/18 was truly the breakout year for Mohamed Salah. He broke the record for the most goals scored in a 38 game premierleague season, with 32 goals and led Liverpool to the final of the Champions League with 10 goals in the competition. He was deservedly player of the season in England. He was so good that people started comparing him with Messi and Ronaldo. And his statistics showed every reason to.

But is he just a one season wonder as many claim him to be?

Was 2017/18 a fluke for Salah?

I don't think so

He was magnificent throughout last season for Liverpool. To break the records previously held by legends like Shearer, Ronaldo and Suarez is truly remarkable, and something you don't do 'by fluke'. His goals were not just simple tap-ins. Most of them were special, and absolutely breathtaking. I don't remember any player in Europe scoring 40+ goals in one season and disappearing the very next season.

Mo Salah is not another Michu, or Robinho. He is something special and someone we will admire for a long time. He has the talent, the right mentality, a great team and a fantastic manager required to continue last season's form for years to come.
